The complete inside of the home has rough cut pine boards on all ceilings and walls just as it was when built so long ago. Seating on the rear deck acomodates 12 people not counting the 6 person Hot Tub just above the River. Has 2 Flood Lights to shine on the River at Night.

You sleep at night with the Peacefulness of the flowing River and a 4ft Waterfall just below the deck, The View is breathtaking in all directions. Trout Fishing is a lot of fun with river Stocking once a week . Only 1/8th mi. up stream & 1/10th. Mi. down stream you are sure to enjoy the catch of the day, hopefully for all to see. Personal steps that lead to the river are for our guests only with the brand new decks, we recommend Water Shoes for playing in the River.

A little Bat Cave NC history !

One of Hickory Nut Gorge’s wonders is Bat Cave Preserve, owned and managed by The Nature Conservancy since 1981. The preserve is home to the largest augen gneiss granite fissure cave in the world. The granite of these caves was formed over 500 million years ago. The cave provides habitat for rare bats, salamanders, and spiders.
