Austin-man dies from injuries sustained in motorcycle crash

The man passed away in San Antonio on early on Tuesday, April 19.

On Monday, April 18, at approximately 9:29 a.m., Gillespie County deputies responded to a crash in the 5500 block of South State Highway 16, near the intersection with Leyendecker Road, according to a social media post.
Joe Gorman, 73, of Austin, was heading southbound and was on his way to Kerrville for an appointment when he was thrown from his motorcycle, according to the post. Gorman was treated at the scene by Fredericksburg Fire & EMS before being transported to University Hospital in San Antonio.
Gorman died as a result of his injuries sustained from the motorcycle crash at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, according to the post. MySA reached out to the Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office for comment.
