CHP motorcycle officer hospitalized after head-on crash in Roseville
The California Freeway Patrol is investigating a crash in Roseville that despatched one of its officers to the healthcare facility.
The crash, involving a CHP bike officer and the driver of a Ford Explorer, happened at Sierra College or university Boulevard and Roseville Parkway just in advance of 5:30 a.m.

CHP said in a report that the SUV driver took a still left turn on a pink light, hitting the on-responsibility officer head-on. The impression from the crash threw the officer from his motorcycle.
The officer was hospitalized with injuries described as “average.” The Ford Explorer driver was not hurt, according to the CHP.
CHP said alcohol and medication are not viewed as aspects in the crash.
