Troopers investigate a fatal crash involving a bike at Highway 544 and Glenmere Travel.

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly bike crash alongside Highway 544.

Troopers and Horry County Fireplace Rescue crews had been identified as to the crash around 6:15p.m. Tuesday at Freeway 544 near Glenmere Push.

LCpl. Tyler Tidwell with the South Carolina Freeway Patrol mentioned a Harley Davidson was headed east on Highway 544 and a Subaru was heading west and striving to make a remaining hand transform onto Glenmere Generate.

Tidwell said the motorcycle collided with the auto and the passenger of the Harley was thrown from the motorcycle.

The passenger was killed and the driver of the bike was taken to Grand Strand Professional medical Middle. Tidwell included that neither person was sporting a helmet.

Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler mentioned the victim is a 33-12 months-previous woman but is still functioning to come across her following of kin. He reported at the time the family members is positioned then her identify will be unveiled.

The driver of the Subaru was taken to South Strand Clinical Middle for their injuries.
