Motorcyclist in critical condition following crash

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Murfreesboro Police reopened all lanes Wednesday night on Memorial Boulevard following a severe motorcycle collision that shut down the area.

Murfreesboro Police said their investigation shows that the car was traveling northbound, trying to turn left into the Fifth Third Bank. This caused the motorcycle rider to slam into it.

Police said that the motorcyclist was in critical condition and that the car driver was not hurt.

According to a tweet from police, Memorial Boulevard between Heritage Park Dr. and MTCS Dr. had been closed in both directions as police investigated a crash between a car and motorcycle.

As of 7:25 p.m., police reopened the northbound lanes of Memorial Boulevard, whereas the southbound lanes remained closed during the investigation.
