A motorcyclist was struck and killed Thursday night by a dump truck that left the scene, Maryland State Police said.State police said troopers were called around 11:45 p.m. Thursday to the Outer Loop of the Beltway near the Interstate 70 interchange in Woodlawn.Police said two lanes were closed for paving work. Police said a preliminary investigation indicates a dump truck was pulling out of the active work zone and that the motorcyclist laid his motorcycle down in an effort to avoid hitting the dump truck and was subsequently struck.Police identified the motorcyclist as Khary Tier Williams, 46, of Milford Mill, who died at the scene.Police said the driver of the dump truck left the scene, and their identity remains under investigation.
